There is so much to do on the Isle of Wight. Nearby local attractions include:
Quarr Abbey, which is open to visitors by arrangement and has an excellent cafe. There is a lovely walk that goes right by the abbey.
Osborne House, Queen Victoria's lovely home on the island and on the bus route from here to East Cowes.
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway, which has steam trains running most of the year plus many special events.
Paul and Irene Wavell welcome you to Wavell's Quayside Bed and Breakfast. Our main concern is your comfort and ensuring that you have a very pleasant stay on our beautiful Isle of Wight.
Wavell's Quayside bed and breakfast has just one double room for guests who all experience our personal attention. We are conveniently located at the head of Wootton Creek at Wootton Bridge, Isle of Wight and are open all year.
Paul is an Islander born and bred and Irene has lived here for 38 years. There is not much we don't know about the beautiful Isle of Wight, so please feel free to take advantage of our local knowledge for any information that may enhance your holiday (restaurants, pubs, tearooms, attractions etc.).
Our guest room overlooks the old mill lake (see photo right) and the breakfast room has a wonderful view down Wootton Creek, which is alive with boat and bird activity. Breakfast can be taken on the riverside deck if the weather is nice.
We have secure private parking, are right beside the bus route or can pick you up from the ferry terminal. Please see details on our Contact Us page.
We have a floating pontoon on Wootton Creek and can accept guests arriving by boat. Limits are up to 35 feet long and the berth dries into soft mud. It is accessible about HW Portsmouth +/- 3 hours, depending on draft.
To make your stay more enjoyable suitcases and/or bags can be delivered to any destination on the Island (for a small charge, depending on mileage).
